Secure Hire Booking

There are certain times of the week when some tools or equipment are very popular.

To guarantee that you won’t miss out on the equipment you want we recommend that you ring our office or try our contact us page to book the equipment you want. There is no charge for making a booking.

Proof of Identity

Yes, please make sure you bring with you a valid Australian Drivers Licence.

A copy of your driver’s licence will be taken after being sighted to keep on your customer file.

We offer discounted rates for long term hire so please talk to us if you wish to hire for longer than a week.

We also offer monthly specials you want to be sure to take advantage of these. Specials could include free delivery to site of equipment or discounted hire prices on some equipment.

That’s okay, Southside Excavating & Earthmoving Equipment Hire staff are trained to ask you about the job you are doing so we can work out which piece of equipment will be best for your job and then advise you on where you can get it from – be it us or elsewhere.

Equipment Familiarisation

Southside Excavating & Earthmoving Equipment Hire staff are trained to offer advice about choosing the best equipment for the job and then fully explain how to use it.

We’ll even show you some handy tips and tricks for getting the very best results.

We’ll also provide you with an operation manual and Safe Work Method Statement for most items of equipment so you can have instructions and advice with you.

Opening Hours

Southside Excavating & Earthmoving Equipment Hire is open seven days a week.

We open at 7am from Monday to Friday and close at 5pm.

Please note that on Saturdays and Sundays the office will not be open but we still hire equipment out if you need any equipment over the weekend please contact us on 0425 562 622.

Payment

We accept cash, all major credit cards, cheque and EFTPOS.

Payment is required on pick-up of equipment if you are not an account holder.

If you have an account with Southside Excavating & Earthmoving Equipment Hire you can pay over the telephone using your credit card or pay your invoices online by using our secure online payment system. Just click the automatically generated link that’s in the email you receive with your invoice, and the full invoice will appear online with the payment option.

Transport (Mobilisation & Demobilisation)

Yes. Southside Excavating & Earthmoving Equipment Hire has a fleet of delivery vehicles available to deliver equipment in Perth  and state wide through Western Australia.

Our charges for delivery and pick-up vary depending on the transport requirements of the item hired, the distance to site from our yard and the time of delivery.

Any delivery amount quoted is ‘one-way’ and for one load only. If multiple vehicles are required our office will contact you prior to confirm so there are no hidden or unexpected costs to you.

We do have a minimum hire period of 1 day on deliveries, four hours isn’t quite long enough for the driver to reasonably turn around and get back out to you.  Our deliveries are normally made during trading hours, Monday 7am till Friday 5pm. However, if you need a delivery outside of these times please let us know at the time of your booking. Please make sure there is a safe area for our driver to unload, demonstrate the equipment and complete the paperwork. Generally, we aim to deliver within a 2-hour window based on the expected start time requested.

Special Deliveries –  These may include: After-hours deliveries, Deliveries on a Saturday/Sunday, Delivery outside our standard delivery distance (25kms for metro, 50kms for regional), Special/large equipment delivery.

 

Late Return/Extended Hire

That’s okay – we’ll probably ring you to check if everything is okay but you are free to keep the equipment as long as you like.

It would help us and other customers if you could let us know if you intend to keep your equipment for longer – simply contact us on 08 9417 2553 or 0425 562 622.

Please be aware you will be charged from the time the equipment is taken to the time it is returned to us.

Hire Period/Term

Up to 4 hours is a half day. Equipment to be back in yard by 1pm if pick was in morning between 7- 8am or 5pm if pick-up was between 12-1pm.

Overnight will also be charged as a half day. Overnight means from one hour before the office closes until one hour after the office opens the next day. (Please note overnight rates do not apply to some equipment)

We do have a minimum hire period of 1 day on deliveries, four hours isn’t quite long enough for the driver to reasonably turn around and get back out to you.

Between 4 hours and 24 hours is a day.

Weekly rates of Equipment are charged based on a minimum of 10hrs/day, 6 days per week, unless otherwise specified

GST

No, All rates, fees and charges are plus 10% GST.

Fuel

When hiring equipment with an operator the hire rate includes fuel.

When hiring equipment only without an operator, equipment comes with a with a full tank of fuel and need to be returned with a full tank, if not refuel charges will apply according to Southside Equipment Hire Terms & Conditions of Hire.
